A&P

A&P is about three guys who walk into a grocery store with their bathing suit on. Everyone in the store kept looking back at them. They were not sure what they saw was real. All three girls are described how they look and what kind of bathing suit they wore. Out of these three girls, one is described as the “Queen”; the other two follow her around while she leads them to places in the store. Sammy the boy at the cashier, also the one who narrates the story stares at the girls ever since he sees them there. The girls walk up to Sammy’s register once they have everything they want to buy. While they are waiting for their food to be ringed up, the store manager comes to them and tells them that they cannot walk around like that in a store. So he gives them advice to leave and dress up and then they can buy their stuff. The girls tell him that they do not see anything wrong with what they are doing. Sammy gets upset hearing his managers remarks about the girl; he tells him that he quits. Sammy does not realize what he did, he knows now that his life will be hard because of the fact he has no job and that his family is not the wealthy. I believe A&P is about how humans make certain choices in their live, some without thinking and some with thinking. Either way there are consequences we face upon the
